Coaching is about people. The admin kept getting in the way.
Karthik spent his weekends driving two boys between cricket and soccer, umpiring one game and refereeing the next. Cancellation messages arrived after he’d already left home. Payment reminders got lost in his inbox.
Arjun was coaching cricket, refereeing football and swimming at squad level. He learned early that the paperwork decided whether he got paid on time, not the hours he put in on the field.
Everyone involved already carried a phone. So why was running a class still this hard?
Before writing any code, we sat down with more than 50 coaches and teachers. The same three problems came up in almost every conversation. Outcoach is built to fix all three, with one app for the business, the coaches and the families.

Co-founder · Product, technology and data
Karthik has spent more than 20 years building software and running global operations. He spent a decade at Aconex, the construction software company, moving from major accounts in the UK to general manager of data strategy and operations. After Oracle acquired Aconex, he led data strategy and development globally as a vice president.
He’s also the co-founder and Chief Product and Technology Officer of Firmable, the Australian sales intelligence platform. At Outcoach he leads product and technology, and brings a parent’s view from years of weekend umpiring.

Arjun Karthik
Co-founder · Product, sales and customers
Arjun has played and coached sport all his life: refereeing football, coaching cricket and swimming at squad level. He has also volunteered as a Year 11 and 12 teacher and tutored maths and psychology, so he knows the classroom side too.
Before Outcoach he led digital projects that moved organisations off manual admin, and assessed SaaS vendors’ security as a cybersecurity analyst at Origin Energy. Today he spends his days building, selling and supporting Outcoach, and works directly with the clubs and schools that use it.
