Coaching and teaching are not like everyday businesses. They help produce the next generation. But often coaches are caught up in admin and the whole process can seem transactional. We believe there’s a better way — focusing on students and teaching, making things easier, enabling people to connect using their mobiles.

Our story
We came up with Outcoach after experiencing firsthand the chaos of running and attending classes. Here’s how it all began.
Karthik's journey: racing between classes
Karthik ran from pillar to post taking his 2 boys to various classes — sometimes a cricket umpire, sometimes a soccer referee. As a part-time uber driver transporting his kids to different activities, he constantly missed notifications about match cancellations and payment reminders.
Arjun's reality: paperwork over passion
When arjun started coaching, he quickly realised that paperwork was key to getting paid on time — not his time on the field. An ffv football referee, cricket coach, and squad-level swimmer, arjun knew coaching should be about people, not administration.
The "there must be a better way" moment
As with all great start-up ideas, karthik and arjun asked: what if technology — especially the mobile phones in our pockets — could simplify this for everyone? That spark became Outcoach.
Validation: 50+ coaches later
They validated the idea by talking to over 50 coaches and teachers. The pain was real and widely shared: scheduling chaos, payment delays, and no easy way to track student progress. Outcoach was born to solve exactly these problems.

Before building anything, we went out and talked to over 50 coaches and teachers. The same three problems came up again and again — so we fixed all three. Outcoach is the product of listening first and building second.
Scheduling Chaos
Missed sessions, last-minute cancellations, no central calendar. Coaches and parents lived in WhatsApp groups hoping for the best.
Payment Delays
Chasing payments was a full-time job. Invoices, reminders, bank transfers — all manual, all time-consuming, all stressful.
Student Tracking
No easy way to log progress, share feedback, or demonstrate a student's growth over time. Coaches relied on memory and messy spreadsheets.

He has also volunteered as a year 11 & 12 teacher and tutored students in maths and psychology. Holder of a double degree in commerce and it from monash, arjun spends his time building, selling, and supporting Outcoach.
